WWII and the Cold War was what caused ours and Europe in general's economic turbulence, and whatever measures we took to counteract the unceartanty and inequality. I'm not saying USSR wasn't 50/50 with the Nazies, but it was more WWII and Cold War than russian revolution.

I’m not going to sit here and say that Star Trek 5 is a good movie but the origin of it with Shatner watching televangelists and asking “why would God need me to send *you* money?” is a real classic Star Trek plot and theres a couple moments where it gets close to being really interesting
