Today in why your librarian is stressed: academic journals increase in cost about 5% every single year while our funding continues to, at best, stagnate. And that's just the things we already purchase, much less the new acquisitions our patrons need or want.

Monica Coglan was cross-examined for 13 hours by Archer’s lawyers in the libel trial. She was frequently in tears as her entire life and character was attacked. She died in a car crash before Archer was found guilty of perjury in that trial. Before it was found she’d told the truth all along.

He literally set off a bomb in a UK street. If this had been the IRA Pierce would calling for them to be hung, drawn and quartered. This is domestic terrorism pure and simple. A bomb set off to terrorise with the aim of getting a government to change its policy. Literally a textbook definition.

"A little light terrorism" - that's it isn't it. They think their 'cause' is righteous (ULEZ) and so that labelling it accurately - saying exactly what it is - terrorism (setting off bombs in public) - is not justified because they have a GOOD REASON for THEIR 'light terrorism'. Shockingly bad.
