It’s a mark of the corruption of our whole way of thinking about the world that trying to meet a planetary emergency is routinely described as “ideological”, while continuing to accelerate it is presented as “pragmatic” and “economic”.

The BBC news summary this morning went seamlessly from "critics warn PM scrapping triple lock would be electoral suicide" to "critics ask if PM has nerve to make tough decisions" and I don't think it's a particularly pro Burnham stance to suggest he might not be the entire problem here.

The Daily Telegraph, with its finger on the pulse of the nation, thinks that people taking a packed lunch to work is “pathetic” and a sign of societal collapse; and also thinks that said packed lunch includes sprouts.
Daily Telegraph: MICHAEL DEACON
This pathetic office trend is a damning symbol of Britain's decline.

Picture shows three food containers in a fridge, seemingly representing an office packed lunch. They contain roast potatoes, carrots and sprouts. They’re insane, aren’t they?

This had become the new normal. RNLI crew members had been forced to take their permits off their cars after their tyres have been repeatedly slashed. Most of them have been pilloried at the school gates or turned away from local pubs. One man who worked in search and rescue had been beaten unconscious and hospitalised, recognised for TV interviews he had done.

His original post. There should be consequences for a councillor sharing potentially harmful disinformation like this.
Cllr Kieran Mishchuk is at Milton Regis
14 hours ago Sittingbourne
I've just been sent a video showing 2 buses full of migrants parked in Asda car park, Milton Regis,
today.
These are the kinds of scenes you see from up and down the country. They are being ferried
around destination unknown, and now they're here in our town.
This isn't the first time this has happened. I've seen buses full in Morrisons car park before as well.
It is all incredibly suspicious,
The state is funding an invasion and ferrying them around to all corners of the country.
