This is why we recently kind of “flipped the script” a bit at my transit agency. When the dog acts out of control, I can now ask “is that a pet?” and when they naturally say yes, I can tell them our pet policy requires the animal to be muzzled or in a carrier, and so it has to get off my bus.

I always thought the song “Red Rubber Ball” sounded like a Simon & Garfunkel tune. Apparently it was in fact written by Paul Simon and I had just never bothered to look it up. It’s apparently one of the very few if not the only song Simon wrote during their collaboration that they never recorded.

I don’t think people appreciate just how horrific the initial bus crash was too a drunk driver was speeding and plowed straight into a bus, killing two people. it’s almost a parody of how unsafe transportation is in LA, particularly in the valley where almost every street is just a mini highway
