Kuafu from Nine Sols. The main character Yi doesn’t refer to his size and shape until Shuanshuan comes up with the nickname Uncle Chubby. His “softness” seems like an integral component of his personality. Interesting they can’t leave it uncommented upon, like it has to be justified.

As a non-American, I saw her as one of those folk who embodied the best of the US. Small town southern kindness that was more than a facade. Ruggedly, unapologetically individualistic, but committed to uplifting others with her success. Bold, loud, and a bit wild, but in such a warm and honest way.

The 2010s glazing of a soft-handed misanthrope like Elon Musk was bafflingly unfounded, yet dizzyingly pervasive. I didn't always know how to react to pushback; it was like trying to explain that fire is hot.

I explain that needing someone so badly that you feel like nothing without them is textbook codependence.

Someone else: If I can't admire Elon Musk, who CAN I admire? Sounds like you're setting the bar insanely out of reach. Is anyone actually putting him on a demi-god status anyway? Sounds like some strawman shit.
Also why should Elon be spending his time and money replacing the entire city of Flint's water pipes? It's not like he's from Flint... guy grew up in South Africa. If anything criticize him for not helping South Africa or something.
