Dolly was one of my favourite songwriters ever. Very glad I saw her live in concert - she was world class. Very impressive philanthropy. I was hoping to see her live again, or hear another album. We were lucky to experience the star she was. Rip.

Denmark just passed a law that every person owns a copyright to their own face, voice, and body. In the age of AI, this places more legal control in a person's hands, and there are real, large consequences and fines for breaking this law. We need to make this worldwide.

By far the biggest problem with delegating judgement to machines is the people who own the machines can tune them towards outcomes they prefer but those who don't own anything can't. It's not the technology. It's a transfer of decision making power from rational accountable systems to capital.

AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER
It is important to recognize that the creative ideas about a problem often come when the person is not engaged at the terminal. In fact, with some persons
such ideas are unlikely to occur during the actual man-machine dialogue because the operator feels harassed or under pressure when in direct communication with the computer. Many persons who are writing programs at a terminal find that they can make the programs work more quickly because of interactive debugging, but the results are more ragged. They feel forced to think too quickly and, often carelessly, allowing the computer to pick up mistakes that they would not have made when working on a coding sheet.
