No one in the West over the last few decades has figured out how to stop the most important political shift of that period - the working class voting more and more right-wing. You'll see some reversion in 2026 due to downballot lag and a more friendly environment for Dems but it won't solve it

Everyone presumes the Democratic party is a political party. It is not. It is a ballot line in the 50 states and a set of organizations which try to recruit and fund candidates for that ballot line. It does not have a membership, it does not even have the ability to control said ballot line

This paragraph partially explains a huge issue with K-12 education in America today (particularly since COVID): truancy as a result of crippling anxiety. Addiction to social media/online gaming has given us a generation of kids that can't deal with interpersonal interaction.
