Hey, Keisha Lance Bottoms can win this race. Instead of making empty excuses why she can't win, focus on making excuses on why she can pull this off. The gap in polling is razor thin. The ruling party is unpopular. Ossoff is kicking ass. Enough with the self-defeatism. Find an excuse to win.

WHOA. This is big news. Mr. Soliman is a 31-year-old gay man from Egypt who came here at 3 with a green card. He lost his green card after a conviction, but an immigration judge found that he would be persecuted in Egypt and barred sending him there. He's locked in a hotel in Equatorial Guinea now.
A federal judge has ordered the Department of Homeland Security to return Ahmed Soliman to the United States, five months after he was expelled to Equatorial Guinea, a country where he has no ties, in a decision that could have far-reaching implications for thousands of others subjected to the Trump administration’s third-country removal scheme.

Arizona District Court Judge John C. Hinderaker, a Trump appointee, ruled that DHS violated the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment and “must facilitate Plaintiff’s release from custody in Equatorial Guinea and return to the United States and must ensure his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to Equatorial Guinea.”

It’s really remarkable to me that 10 years into this people feel compelled to “clarify” Trump’s homicidal and often genocidal fantasies. It is deranged for the president to daydream about American cities in states he hates getting blown up. Full stop.

Massive car rental fail by Budget. At Phoenix airport (hi AZ!) and Budget - who we reserved with - is closed. Sign at counter says our friends at Payless will help you. Payless is closed with a sign saying Avis will help you. This is the Avis line.
Massive line at Avis because Budget and Payless both knocked off for the night and sent all their customers here.

The President of the United States, in front of a crowd of his supporters, during a televised rally, admits to a Quid Pro Quo pardon, which is a felony and impeachable offence. And absolutely nothing will happen, because his party, which controls congress, are fascist collaborators and sycophants.

This is sexual violence as a form of terrorism. It is political violence and it is chilling and horrific, and AOC was absolutely right to be terrified that the goons (now pardoned) laying siege to the capital would rape her if they found her. Small changes won't fix this. FLIP THE TABLE NOW

I know it’s easy to dunk on “naturalized citizen votes Trump and gets caught up in ICE kidnappings.” But please, read this article. It’s so much more than that.
More than 500 cases. That includes:

More than a hundred Americans held after agents questioned their citizenship. Nearly all were people of color.

At least 70 American children and teens detained, some of whom were handcuffed.

Of the more than 300 Americans we tracked as detained for allegedly assaulting or obstructing agents, we found fewer than half were actually charged in federal court, and many of those cases were dropped or dismissed.

At least 63 Americans detained while recording.

36 Americans held for at least a day without being able to contact a lawyer or their family.

Roughly a dozen citizens deported, mostly children.

Oh, right! Yeah, 50s music in the 80s was *ancient* but you can drop an 80s song in a playlist today and it’s fine. Then again, a good portion of music today is using samples of 80s music, so…? Like, this song has ended up sampled *everywhere* and turns up a couple of times a decade.
