The money pit restaurant I would open as a billionaire would be the opposite of farm to table. What are the most unnatural flavors possible? Hiring top food scientists, giving a blank check and telling them to really explore the dark corners of the flavor latent space. I want to taste eternity.

ah, they never responded to me... while it is possible that they were busy , or that they also struggle with executive dysfunction & keeping up with correspondence, I think I'll play it safe & assume they hate me & want nothing to do with me. I should respect that & never reach out to them again

Substantial portions of conventional charity and philanthropy are extremely adverse to any kind of effort to impose rigor or ask in any way “is this working at all”. It’s not a strawman that they’re critiquing, at least in my personal experience.

Very Greek tragedy thing about LLMs is that they simulataneously provide clear evidence that writing is extremely important to cognition while they also cause people to stop doing it.

I remember being staggered by the vastness of GPT-3. I had been doing "Deep Learning" with 64 Mparam vision models that suddenly seemed like those 12 neuron networks they studied in the 80s.

Thinking about technologies you enjoy using for work, school, or personal projects, what is the main reason you would recommend one to others? Select one.
I'm not sure
It has strong security, privacy, or compliance features
It has useful Al features or agent capabilities
It has excellent documentation, examples, or learning resources
It has a strong community, ecosystem, or open-source presence
It is easy to learn and use
-> I would not recommend any technology I use
It has manageable cost, pricing, or licensing
It has a reputation for quality and long-term trustworthiness

intelligence is probably my least favorite mistake in the human tower of abstraction. it sits so cleanly inside classism, conservatism, racism, and egotism, while providing little value over it's components (skill, knowledge, aptitude, alacrity, cultural conformance, amiability, and others)
