Yet mechanics don't drive Indy cars. And if your heart problem is caused by liver disease, it'd be malpractice for a cardiologist to treat it without consulting a hepatologist. "The mechanics of how learning happens" is not the whole story of teaching & learning, why should we treat it that way?

Ms Rachel from the top ropes
From Ms Rachel's account on Threads, she writes, "CORECIVIC, a company that makes hundreds of millions locking up KIDS in immigration detention
has a PAC that's sending campaign checks to Senator Susan Collins of Maine.
Susan Collins chairs the Senate committee that writes ICE's budget.
ICE is CoreCivic's customer.
The company gets paid out of a budget she controls, and it pays into her campaign."

This is a bad chart for one specific reason: the SCF is a household based survey, so it only can tell about the demographics of household heads. Householder status has varied across generations, and has become more positively selected. Same issue as the official homeownership series.

"Experts say more research is needed." Of course they will say that about everything. Who is going to say "no more research is needed"? But this framing implies the research has been neglected. The numbers here are out of date, but the point stands.

Rubio in Greece: “the West came to feel ashamed of the very things that made us exceptional. We felt embarrassed that our achievements set us apart... so we tore down our monuments…” Nazi, Soviet, and Confederate are the monuments the West tore down. Contra Rubio, defeating them is the achievement.

90% of student discrimination and harassment complaints were dismissed last year. Here's why.
Students with disabilities and survivors of sexual misconduct can’t rely on the Department of Education — the target of budget cuts and staff reductions — to intervene for them, new reports find.

If the lessons Democrats (& democrats) draw from DOGE is “right idea, wrong implementation,” we are doomed. Everyone involved in the unprecedented crime that was DOGE needs to go to jail forever, & Democrats need to rebuild all of the programs & agencies first, not do digital management consulting 🤦‍♂️

It's true that Mass Ballot Q-3 to establish "Jungle Primaries" is funded almost entirely by Private Equity Vultures, all of whom will not defend their investment to the press. Their silence, and fact that Q3 contributors have spent the most behind any of all 9 Questions, screams "No on 3" to me.
