Trump is touting a diesel export ban and Goldman Sachs has produced a note to say why it’s a bad idea. Initially US diesel drops by $0.25 a gallon during the week of the ban, but that then pushes gas prices ⬆️ After the ban, global prices would still be higher due to lost US refinery output.
