It would have just glossed over the fact that the team is not good enough. But it cant be stressed enough just how devastating losing four of the last five games was. Because if the pitching is set, then who knows.

This might work if it goes perfectly for the Phillies. Which we know it won’t. Nola 12 outs Painter 6 outs Wheeler 6 outs Duran 3 outs I think 2 innings from Wheeler saves him for a possible NLDS game 2. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Flyers fans were excited to have hockey back in South Philadelphia on Wednesday. Unfortunately for them, the orange and black delivered a clunker. The Penguins steamrolled goalie Dan Vladar in a 7-0 win over the Flyers in the 2026-27 season opener at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

Andrew Painter had a 7.06 ERA on June 17. He gave up 7 runs in 2 2/3 innings at Lehigh Valley on July 10. He allowed 5 runs on 10 hits in 5 innings on September 8. Today, Painter throws three scoreless innings inthe 8th, 9th, and 10th innings in an elimination game on the road.
