Universal basic income would fundamentally fix the AI crisis in global layoffs and pave for a new era of living more peacefully. Governments around the world have the potential to do the f̶u̶n̶n̶i̶e̶s̶t̶ most revolutionary thing ever right now, but ℕ𝕆, we get the universe where evil simply reigns rampant.

English attempts at PR are weird. In the #Manchester election, no announcement of votes in the first round, just those eliminated. In RoI elections votes for all candidates are given after each count. The single transferable vote is both simple and démocratic not like the half arsed system used here

A please @labouruk.bsky.social, stop saying that it's up to us to stop Reform. YOU could stop a Reform government in 2029, by introducing the proportional representation so many in the country have been clamouring for. The only way Farage can win is through our crazy first-past-the-post system.

What we have seen in Gorton and Denton is what we saw in Caerphilly in October. A lot of people really don’t want the hateful politics of Reform and will work hard and smart to try and keep them out. Labour must now listen to this and stop the grim attempts to mimic Farage.

Perhaps the most depressing thing I've read in a long while (h/t Politico's email) "Stocks fell across the globe as fears over Trump's new tariffs intensified – though London was shielded somewhat thanks to gains among defence manufacturers who could rake it in as the world destabilises."
