I do find this country mad. Anyone can see that social care is in a state of devastating crisis in this country and that it is the key source of the NHS crisis as well. There is no feasible way to solve it without everyone contributing. Burnham is honest about that and is already getting pelters.

Went to hospital today. Some who followed me on the other place might remember I had a traumatic eye injury (retinal detachment) a few years ago. I had some worrying symptoms today but thankfully all ok. It was a busy day in A&E and I ended up waiting 5 hours, but this is far from a complaint…

Have to say this is a very fair criticism. I criticised Starmer for waiting ages to condemn Tommy Robinson’s mobs in London. But this is even more frustrating because Burnham is popular and could have real impact. We can’t allow images of mobs of masked fascists blocking roads to be normalised.
