I was very uncomfortable when we ditched #KierStarmer who had rescued us from the seemingly never ending #Tory nightmare. Listening to the PM’s speech today, I think we’ve made the right call. Social care, #Brexit, water companies, everything is in play. We’ve had to wait a long time for this.

Re the soaring price of fuel thanks to #Trump’s war. For as long as I can recall supermarkets have been way cheaper than independent garages, not any more. On a recent trip to north Wales, remote garages were a few pence per litre cheaper. One could conclude the supermarkets are ripping us off.

Long thought bus services in Shrewsbury must be the worst in any comparable English town. Thanks to #Thatcher’s deregulation, there’s 5 or 6 operators. Today after a half hour wait, three different ones turn up at the same time and the bus stop timetable, too big for the frame, is partly illegible.

I fully support what the PM is saying here and there’s allegedly a report on Russian interference with the #Brexit referendum that was never published, but why can’t we play the same game, or do we? Living standards for most Russians are at Third World levels, it’s an open goal for the west.

Powerful speech from #EdMilliband imposing some modest sanctions on illegal West Bank settlements. This will make little difference in an economic sense, but means a great deal symbolically. It’s taken a while for #Labour to get to this but it’s still very welcome all the same.
