imo this is how you resolve the seeming contradiction between Vance's mixed-race marriage and his obvious white supremacist leanings. He doesn't believe in full white separatism, he just thinks whites get to pick which of the Untermenschen deserve junior partner status.

YOU hate Nader for throwing the 2000 election. I hate Nader for ushering in the era of Consumer as a primary political identity, touting the tort system as an alternative to normal democratic deliberation, and making things generally work worse in the USA.

When they get back in power, Democrats need to go all-in on higher education. We need a campaign of reinvestment in public universities across the country that makes the Morrill Land-Grant Act look like nothing by comparison *and* a GI Bill of Rights-style program of tuition grants.

America is full of ppl who have to learn every damn thing the hard way: "Instead of learning from the 200+yr struggle to free women from male ownership, I'll try relinquishing my legal & economic autonomy--how bad can it be?" Reinventing feminism from 1st principles, one destroyed life at a time.

This is what drives me nuts. If you want the D party to move left, you have to give them big enough margins so that it is electorally safe for them to move left. The reason Biden's legislative packages weren't farther left wasn't because Ds are too centrist, it's because he didn't have enough Ds.

Its Heritage Foundation authors aside, I’m the nation’s foremost Project 2025 expert. For those in disbelief regarding Trump’s blatant 1st Amendment violations—banning CNN, Politico, and MSNow—the “Media Agencies” section of P2025 (Chapter 8) begins on page 235. So many of us warned about this.
                                                                 8

MEDIA AGENCIES

U.S. AGENCY FOR GLOBAL MEDIA
Mora Namdar

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is to inform, engage, and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democ-racy. However, this mission statement does not reflect the current work of the agency. The mission is noble, but the execution is lacking. To fulfill its mission, USAGM should also aim to present the truth about America and American policy-not parrot America's adversaries' propaganda and talking points.?

OVERVIEW
Originally formed as the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) in 1994, the BBG changed its name in 2018 to the United States Agency for Global Media. The USAGM is a sub-Cabinet agency of the U.S. government with a budget of just under $1 billion. The agency oversees two government broadcasting networks: the Voice of America (VOA) and the Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB). USAGM also oversees 100 percent of the grant funding for several "independent" grantee organizations, including the Middle East Broadcasting Network (MBN), Radio Free Asia (RFA), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), and the newly formed Open Technology Fund (OTF).

• The Voice of America provides news and information in 48 languages to a weekly audience of more than 326 million people worldwide. For more

It's single issue voter syndrome. I can't fault anyone for being upset about talarico's comments and other Dem actions, but to then argue that the DNC should be punished for it? Cede power to the party that clearly doesn't care if you even have a right to vote again next time? Come on.

worth tying this into the political economy of the slave south as well. from roughly the 1820s onwards, slavery became enormously lucrative in ways that had never been seen before. slave traders became millionaires. large planters had tremendous purchasing power. just huge amounts of wealth.
