Watched Joy on Netflix last night. Really well done, I thought. Balancing the debate of the time with the personal struggles of Jean (religion, fertility etc) worked brilliantly. Would’ve like more about the women involved, as Rachel felt a bit dropped in and rushed. Amazing it was <50yrs ago.

Momentous events in Syria this morning. The 54 year rule of the Assad family appears to be over, with rebel forces taking to state TV claiming President Assad has fled Damascus. The prime minister has said he will hand over power to the opposition and has called for elections.
