As many of you are aware, ve been navigating one of the most challenging periods of my day while waiting for dinner.
Facing baseless federal hunger brought on by not eating since lunch, fighting for the working kids of this country, and now caring for a mean toddler and helping him grow up in a world that isn't always easy. But it has also reminded me exactly why I do this work and who I do it for.
I will never stop working to eat dinner. I will never stop fighting for what is right, even when there is also some feta in the fridge. And I will never stop being so very thankful that you are by my side in this important work and that there is tahini in the pantry for dressing

1977) Watchfulbot. Just has some stuff to think about by the sea. Specifically, the return of the Old Gods, for which generations of its forebears have also patiently waited in this spot, holding to the dark covenant etched in the stones.

Seems like the world needs a reminder.

Welp. I have found, in writing, the recipe wherein Brussels sprouts are to be boiled for half an hour.

Dutch recipe for Sprouts with Chestnuts. Not transcribing the whole thing but essentially the chestnuts are boiled for ¾ hour and then peeled, the sprouts are gently simmered separately in a little water for ½ hour, and the sprouts and chestnuts are then combined in a pan with margarine. I do not think I will be making this.

Hi, I’m Brady.
Do I enjoy politics? No.

Do I know what I’m doing? No.

But am I qualified? Also no.

I was born in Williams Lake and raised in Kelowna since I was 10. These are the streets I biked every day, the cars I threw crab apples at (sorry), and the parks I played in. Seeing this city grow has been cool, but with growth has come a whole new spectrum of challenges. Running for council is the last thing I saw myself doing this year. I don’t like meetings, I don’t like having to be certain places at certain times, and I’m allergic to stuffy offices. But unfortunately, I happen to like Kelowna, and think I can help do some good.

Starting as a farmers market booth beside the mall, my wife and I began turning plastic waste into new products in our laundry room. Seven painful years later, and we have a pretty awesome shop downtown by Sprout (come check it out!) where you’ll find me just about every day.

Last re-skeet: I've said it multiple times before, but those "conversations" I have? Speaking up, pushing back? They're not for the person I'm talking to.

Redoing D&D's playable species so that instead of having "races" you just pick a standard monster type (Construct, Elemental, Fey, Humanoid, Undead, etc.) and roll or choose from a list of type-appropriate features. Owing to how the type feature tables are laid out, orcs are now plants.
