between the pollen and 100% humidity level, i've had to have my inhaler within reach all day. i love spring, it's my favourite season for so many reasons (more birdsong, warmth, lots of flowers, baby animals, more daylight hours, dolphins in the bays etc), but omg it's hard to breathe.

Leaving aside the wrong-headedness of abstaining on this vote, I'm quite uncomfortable with the fact that our Foreign Minister effectively used this UN vote for populist politicking ends of his own party in election campaigning, instead of putting country ahead of party as a professional should do.

I'm noticing just how divorced from reality National's increasingly desperate and extreme policy offerings are. They tell us they're going to cut their way to prosperity, punish the unemployed into jobs and the unwell into good health, and magically pull jobs, nurses, money out of thin air. #nzpol

Understand the power of how you relate to yourself-- how you talk to yourself, how you feed yourself, the choices you make w/ whatever amount of time & focus you realistically control today. Trauma recovery works when we are on our own side, intentionally, consistently.

Must confess that I've been sorely disappointed by MSM's ability to contextualise these dog-whistles. I am empathetic to job cuts, stress, anxiety, wages, & overtime/over-work. But if journalism doesn't step up to critically challenge these narratives, they occupy a greater space over time.

A word at the end of the day about people saying "I'm okay with drug testing if all MPs have to do it". No. That is *not* where we want to go. Part of the danger of National's stunt policy is that it sets us off down a slippery slope where the privacy and human rights of *everyone* are infringed.

years and years of failing in therapy. only a year of it post-autism dx tho' - which has added more trauma and questions we'll never get to. my funding runs out next year so i have to try to wrap up the myriad loose ends of really traumatic stuff without damaging myself more in the process. 😔 3/3

there are so many questions and so much trauma to talk about, but too little time to process any of it in a meaningful way. every week i say or ask something that brings up a whole lot of other stuff with no time to get to any of it and a backlog of 'on hold for more time' topics. 2/3

i feel most autistic in therapy. like when i'm asked a question and need time to think about all the ways i could answer. but time's ticking away and the therapist is waiting so i anxiously say some words only to instantly regret it and also then get another question i need time to think about. 1/3

Right now, the richest pay $9 in tax for every $100 they make, while a teacher pays $22. The Greens would give 96% of earners an income tax cut, paid for not by cuts to public services, but ensuring the super wealthy pay their fair share.
