It's October 2026. Someone at Labour needs to better appreciate the fact that RCR explicitly promotes, week after week, month after month, w/out exaggeration, exactly the same violent extremism that the ChCh killer based his 'manifesto' on. This isn't a platform that should be engaged with. #nzpol

This is a good headline! It refuses to amplify the false claim by using "wrongly", and includes the truth in the headline for everyone who doesn't read the full story (which is mostly everyone). It's also compelling clickbait for those ad guys. Now do this all the time!

In short it's more disintegration of the power network in favour of private providers it's just got some solar panels on it to make you distracted from the shit they're gonna do to existing power trusts etc

Allowing developers to put in private transmission lines and charge users means you end up with a piecemeal privatisation of lines around the country, a real mess of more profit seeking. Simultaneously reviewing lines charges means existing power trust etc will struggle to renew infrastructure.

National's power policy is debt for homeowners by loaning them money for solar, allowing more private finance to take profits off the sector, more deregulation and making data centres generate their own power (which means fossil fuelled turbines, like in the US). It's more failed market solutions.

Records come and records go. But this is one for the ages. The preliminary Nino 3.4 sea-surface temperature anomaly is now at a record 3.23°C above the 1991-2020 baseline. This crushes the previous daily record set in 1982 by over 1.14°C. The Climate 8-ball is looking up.

There are NOT machine-made clothes. If there were, your clothes would be made in the country you live in (where the customers are), or in China (where machines are cheap). They’re made in Bangladesh or India or Indonesia because that’s where the LABOUR is cheap. Your clothes are made by people.
Joyce Carol Oates says: “This is why Al-generated romance novels make perfect sense. Formulaic fiction doesn't need to be written by hand, so to speak; what difference does it make if a machine "writes" it? There are machine-made clothes & there are custom-made clothes. They appeal to
different consumers.“
