#TBT to this from 2012 in honour of Michael Gove starring as an invasion-battling leader in Sky's new show The Wargame. If you don't know what or who this comic is about... just count yourself lucky and scroll on, no worries.
[Opening scene is WESTMINSTER, LONDON. Over Downing Street a huge ALIEN SPACECRAFT hovers, silent, still, filling the whole sky a la Independence Day].

[Cut to INSIDE 10 DOWNING STREET. The (then) prime Minister DAVID CAMERON is looking out of his office window at the ship.]

VOICE FROM OFF-SCENE, BEHIND CAMERON:
Prime Minister…

CAMERON [addressing the person behind him, still keeping his eyes fixed ahead in dread at the spaceship]:
Yes?

[We see the speaker is MICHAEL GOVE, then Education Secretary]:

GOVE:
Let me do it.

CAMERON:
For God's sake, Michael, you're the Education Secretary! You've never flown a fighter plane in your life!

GOVE:
But I know I could do it, David. I could fly a fighter plane into the big space- ship...

...and shoot all the aliens.

CAMERON:
But you have no military training!

GOVE:
David

I haven't told you this, but...

I used to be a journalist. For The Times.

[Cameron reacts, turning to look at Gove with awe and respect, as if only now truly seeing him for the first time].

GOVE:
I wrote two articles about planes, David.

I've got strong opinions about aliens.

I know I can do this job.

[Cut to a title card panel]:

AND SO:

[Then cut again to Cameron on the roof of Number 10, watching a Michael Gove pilot a fighter jet up towards the spacecraft, and then completely miss it, careering towards Earth, as Cameron buries his face in his hands].

[Ends]

I was looking back at my photos of Bayeux when we saw the tapestry there in 2014: I didn’t even take a photo of the building it’s in, or the exhibition before you see the tapestry itself. Just some pics of Bayeux in the rain, followed by an hour later, more Bayeux in the rain.

A tweet with a photo of the mascot of the Wales Air Ambulance - a cuddly helicopter who is standing next to the SW Police mascot ( a cuddly police helmet) at South Wales Pride. Cllr Graham Down replies "Shouldn't they be out saving lives/catching criminals?" Wales Air Ambulance reply "Hi Graham, this isn't our actual helicopter. Our 4 helicopters are currently on standby for absolutely everybody across Wales". There are a rainbow and helicopter emojis and the hastag PrideCymru.

the world needs more guinea pig cartographers
A guinea pig cartographer works amongst his maps, using his instruments, with a quill and ink next to him on a wooden table; he looks at the viewer obliquely with a black background in a style that is reminiscent of early modern portraiture. The artist enjoys exploring the histories of art through homages to previous paintings in his whimsical works.

My off air politics were too much for BBC - they never played a part in how I presented the Infinite Monkey Cage but I was told they damaged the BBC’s “journalistic integrity” - I was not a BBC journalist - now look at Robbie Gibb’s utterly acceptable career flipping between BBC journalism & Tories
After graduation, Gibb joined the BBC as a political researcher including for the television programme On the Record. He left this role soon after his brother Nick was elected as
Conservative MP for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, to become Conservative MP and shadow chancellor Francis Maude's chief of staff. 4] Gibb served in this role until 2000. 5] He then joined Maude in supporting Michael Portillo's campaign to become leader in the
2001 Conservative Party leadership election.!21
He returned to the BBC in 2002 as deputy editor of the news and current affairs television
programme Newsnight. Gibb left this role to become the organisation's political editor for Daily Politics, The Andrew Marr Show, and ThisHe returned to the BBC in 2002 as deputy editor of the news and current affairs television
programme Newsnight. Gibb left this role to become the organisation's political editor for Daily Politics, The Andrew Marr Show, and This Week as well as coverage of the Budget.?!
He was also editor of live political events including The Great Debate during the 2016 EU referendum campaign. " Gibb is a prominent supporter of Brexit. 9!
In 2017, Gibb returned to politics, becoming Conservative Prime Minister Theresa May's Downing Street Director of Communications.
He was succeeded by Lee Cain after Boris Johnson became prime minister in 2019.[10]

which is part of the French public relations firm
Publicis Groupe.[12]

I did copy and paste the text but it's a bit hit and miss because of the old photocopy and I don't have time now to go through all the delightfully made up words it hallucinates. You'll get the drift.
