I made a sort of identikit system using someone's portrait graphics by splitting them into 4 bands. It produces some of the most horrendous images and I definitely have to fix it before proper launch, but right now I find it very amusing #IndieDev

I get why we have licences for digital purchases. I've bought licence keys for stuff. Makes sense. But REVOCABLE? That's the issue here for me. Just that at any point some git in a suit can say, nah, we have your money, and you can't have the thing any more too. Utter arse water.

Shards is now running on a new engine. Bloom, DoF, god rays, particles, hilly and terraced terrain - all done! This is running on a laptop 5060 at 800fps. On an iGPU expect 80-100fps. This scene has about 2000 sprites for the dense grass field parts, all casting and catching shadows.
