Judge Gary Brown, a Trump appointee in New York, rebukes ICE for arresting two people erroneously — including a U.S. citizen — and later claiming "mistaken identity." "ICE agents falsified official records," he says. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

IMO, the solution should not be to browbeat people into an old standard, but rather allow people to wear whatever they want. If someone can wear ducky pajamas in public, you can wear tailoring in any cut, color, and material. As options open up, dress can then be a source of pleasure.

Infuriating statement by DHS. A person with a pending application has not broken any law! He was without legal status, but had not done anything illegal. It’s just the limbo state of our immigration system, intentionally exploited by DHS and ICE to kidnap and deport as many people as possible.

Imagine if you mailed the IRS a check to pay your taxes, but they left their mail unopened for years and then arrested you for failure to pay taxes. That’s effectively what ICE is doing to increasing numbers of people now; people out of status only because of GOVERNMENT delay.

Trump did not reach a settlement with the government. There was no case to settle. He has not created a slush fund. He has colluded with Todd Blanche to steal money from the US Treasury. This is not a “deal.” This is a crime for which Trump & Blanche must be prosecuted. It ia a crime.

Democracy is not about rituals. It’s about law, principles, and process. Dictators and autocrats adore rituals because they make foolish and insubstantial people feel like government still exists, while the law, principles, and process are all disposed of.

Friends, is it good when a judge tells you your argument is, "bluntly, absurd"? Is it good when the judge says your proposal "raises a red flag"? storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
First, the Court takes a step back from its assessment of the particular categorical exclusions invoked and emphasizes the animating text of NEPA. The claim that the conversion of a commercial warehouse equipped with four toilets and two water fountains and designed for cargo storage into a detention center capable of housing over 500 people is the type of action that would not “normally . . . significantly affect the quality of the human environment” is, bluntly, absurd.
