i don't hate this in a vacuum, BUT if your whole deal is everyone is committing fraud all the time you have to be at least somewhat sensitive to appearances and tighten up the op sec. Also, their idea of a dignified presentation is anything but. It'll have a lot of gold leaf and shit.

I think even if it's unreasonable to read every case you have to eat it if it fails. It's trivially easy and good practice to ask for a copy of every case be foldered, and a paralegal as a second set of eyes to check accuracy of citations.

Among the many scotus reform ideas is like to try is a complete overhaul of the clerk system. Structurally it creates a culture where the top of the legal establishment are loyal to and deify individual judges. They should have a common pool of career circuit court clerks on secondment.
