An AI flyer is a brown M&M test. If your event or business is cutting corners by using an AI flyer, where else are you cutting corners? What else are you cheating out on? Why should I be bothered to go somewhere you couldn't be bothered to promote with a little of your own personality?

American Prospect headline, Aug 11Amazon’s chief lobbyist fighting a delivery worker protection bill in New York City recently endorsed by Mayor Zohran Mamdani is Jessica Schumer, the daughter of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), according to public lobbying records and three sources with knowledge of the situation.

The bill, the Delivery Protection Act, would establish safety, training, and labor standards for delivery drivers in New York. All delivery facilities and service providers would need to be licensed with the city’s Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, and companies that operate warehouses could not contract out deliveries to third parties.Wall St Journal headline, Aug 25
In the battle over the Delivery Protection Act, Amazon has contributed around $5 million to the Five Borough Jobs Campaign, an organization fighting the legislation, according to public records. Helping to lead the charge is Jessica Schumer, who has worked for Amazon for years and is the daughter of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. Amazon said she does not work on federal policy.

The saddest and most accurate statement I can make about literally anywhere in this country, from the reddest rural area to the bluest city, is that, if you have to kill a person and feel the fewest consequences possible, you need to hit that person with a car, speeding doesn't matter.

In the well-over 100,000 documents written by founders included in the Founders Online database from the National Archives, no one uses the phrase "God's noble experiment." No one.
Chuck Schumer: "The founding fathers called America God's noble experiment. I believe in all three words to this day: we are one nation under God, we have clung to noble ideals for longer than any other nation, and we are an experiment always changing, trying to make ourselves better.

During Labour's now-exposed paper-tiger election win in 2024, leaders were passing around "The Death of Deliverism," a attempt to claim that material progress no longer matters in politics. Anyway. www.politico.eu/article/nato...
“It’s a time when the center and center-left is threatened by a resurgent populist right in many countries,” they said. “[Starmer] is well aware, I think, that this is potentially an era-defining challenge.”

Starmer’s biographer Tom Baldwin, who is plugged into the new Labour government’s top tier, wrote in the Observer that Morgan McSweeney, the mastermind behind Labour’s election win, is handing out a paper titled “The Death of Deliverism” to party officials as they already look toward the 2029 election.

In other words: reading, writing, art, and critical thinking. In addition to plumbing, obvs.

Ben Goertzel, popularizer of the term AGI and creator of the Sophia robot, congratulating Jeffrey Epstein the day after Epstein was released from prison. Goertzel is mentioned in the files nearly 800 times, including well after the Miami Herald investigation in 2018.
Email from Epstein to Goertzel: "free and home"

Goertzel replies: ";-))) Congratulations!!!! Actually, I was just about to send you an email summarizing my recent progress, current situation, and future hypothetical plans...I'll probably do so tomorrow. I'm sure you're super-swamped, but it would be great to get together when you have the chance... ben"

Goertzel continues: "p.s. Also, the Singularity Summit (futurist conference, but with some good scientific speakers this year) will be in NY this year, Oct 3-4...and Oct 5-6, afterwards, there will be a brainstorming workshop I think you might enjoy (where, basically, the ~20 speakers from the Summit will get together and try to make conceptual progress on various future-science issues). I'll remind you again when the date gets closer!"

As of September 30, 2025 and June 30, 2025, other receivables related to activities to facilitate the purchase of server components were $14.4 billion and $8.2 billion, respectively, and are included in other current assets in our consolidated balance sheets.
We record financing receivables when we offer certain customers the option to acquire our software products and services offerings through a financing program in a limited number of countries. As of September 30, 2025 and June 30, 2025, our financing receivables, net were $3.9 billion and $4.3 billion, respectively, for short-term and long-term financing receivables, which are included in other current assets and other long-term assets in our consolidated balance sheets.
