It's time for the public to learn that public services cannot run on the concept of doing more with less. When there are large cuts to services that rely on public monies, people should feel the results. Libraries, universities, etc. need to stop trying to lessen the visibility of funding cuts.

Annie sometimes needs meds that need to go in wet food. The problem is, if she's getting wet food, I have to give some to Rogue or she will attempt to steal. Or I have to put Rogue in another room until Annie is done eating. But I have found wet food Annie likes but Rogue refuses to touch XD

Last year I had to go through airport security with a cooler bag full of frozen cattle hair samples. This year it will be frozen cattle hair and liver samples. Can't wait to see the look on airport security's face this time XD (It's for science reasons, easiest way to bring the samples back)

The "social contagion" thing drives me screaming angry. When I was young I had no clue trans ppl existed. I'd never met anyone trans. I saw cruel caricatures in pop culture occasionally. When I realized trans was a thing someone could be, it hit like a lightning bolt. My life felt newly possible.

I like quiche as a concept but can't get over the jibbly texture, esp when cold. So I make cheesecakes with nut crusts, a lot less sugar, and +50% eggs and do mini ones in muffin liners. The ensuing 'cheeesequiche' satisfies the same 'make ahead protein food' category without the gross texture.
