There’s a very simple test for “is this person concerned about Palestinians or an anti-Semite using Palestine as an excuse” and it’s what they were posting on October 7-8.

A key point which few have noticed yet... Tory voters have already shifted a lot. Polling shows they back Burnham's pledge to consider closer relations. And a third back joining again. This is a major problem for Badenoch's supposed "recapture the centre" strategy.

Let me help. The motion goes way beyond criticising Israel (it seeks to replace Israel) and an amendment to protect Jewish members was voted down. You would not know this from Polanski's evasive statement

Just the dumbest collection of halfwit confetti emerging out of that conference. Tax cuts everywhere, paid for with imaginary spending cuts. Huge spending projects with precisely zero utility, except to anchor their 'defence day' narrative. Clowns.

This proves only two things. The Ukrainian campaign against Russian refineries is causing serious damage. Putin has asked Trump to help him out and the US president obliged.

the continued crankery of the English left-of-Labour flank is also, let's be quite real here, downstream of the fact that Corbyn's fanboys and fangirls, instead of ever recognising that they have in fact been huffing paint, invented a stab in the back myth, and I chose those words very deliberately

The thing he cannot do. Which is not to say that Ukrainians are a super species of resilient humans (though they really are quite awesome), but rather that they know well what capitulation will bring. So, it is win or die for all Ukrainians vs win or die for Putin. He can't overcome that deficit.

More trouble for the Greens after their 'Zionism is racism' vote - the umbrella organisation of European Greens has condemned them, and the German Greens in particular are scathing. Felix Banaszak, co-leader, called the motion "intolerable and unacceptable".

"Putin has passed the point where he can simply end the war without threatening his own hold on power." This point needs front-loading. It needs to be loudly stated that Putin only continues for his own survival. It must be understood globally and internally within Russia.

The "zionism is racism" motion that has just passed on the Green Party's conference floor is truly gross, and deeply racist. The party's MPs deserve some credit for opposing it, though they should've done so more stridently and sooner. This is now a millstone around the party's necks. Deservedly.

I am not very worried about about the Tory Tapestry’s misuse of “doth”. What worries me much more is this sequence of panels which seems to show a small boat full of brown-skinned people followed by a plague of rats running riot and then a lot of dead white people labelled tax payers.
Detail from Conservative Party mock Bayeux Tapestry showing 1. A boat full of brown skinned people. 2. Enormous rats chasing cats. 3. White-skinned “tax payers” dead in the streets.

The ability to pour hundreds of millions of pounds into a loss-making TV channel, bent on wrenching British politics sharply to the right, is yet another of the ways in which extreme wealth is trying to remake UK democracy. It needs to be part of any serious conversation about political funding.

Sounds great.
According to experts I interviewed, the internet is about to get more frustrating. These agents may cause a cascading chain of problems that shake the foundations of digital infrastructure. Chances are good that you're about to live through an era of online chaos.
The internet was built for humans with limited time and patience. AIs don't have those restraints. You'll probably have to fight with robots over concert tickets and booking appointments. Small businesses could drown in machine-made pestering. AIs don't look at ads, and websites that rely on them are already crumbling. You'll be buried in endless loops of proving you're human. And if you use these AI tools, some may betray you.
