Every time a discourse kicks off over whether AI music, literature or art will be "as good as" the real thing, I'm always amazed more people don't cite that **there already are** creative pursuits where human-free spectacles have been available for decades, and nobody has ever wanted to watch them.

The best example of this still comes from Pillars of Eternity.
A dialogue box featuring a scarred monk asking, “Are you- Are you real?”

The available options are:

1. “Yes.”
2. [Lie] “No.”
3. [Lie] “Yes.”
4. “No.”
5. “Now that you ask, I’m not so sure.”
6. “There is no way to be certain.”

kudos to macklemore here for —right off the bat— the perspective and acknowledgment of who the real victims are
I'm not sure how to start this. So I'm going to speak from the heart and share the truth. Ed Sheeran and his team have made the decision to remove me from The Loop tour.

But before I get into it, I want to say something that should be obvious. In this moment I think it matters. I am not a victim. Ed Sheeran is not a victim. Pink is not a victim. We have careers, money, opportunities, safety and audiences around the world. Whatever consequences any of us face for what we say, we get to go home to our families.

The victims are the Palestinian people. The men, women and children who have been killed, starved, displaced and forced to live through unimaginable violence. More than 20,000 children have been killed in Gaza alone. People are being killed today, and people will be killed tomorrow. I want to make sure that as I tell this story, we don't lose sight of that.

AI is a scourge. But it is important not to trust "AI detectors". I lost regular freelancing work because my client insisted I used AI to write copy (I didn't, but their AI detecting software said I did). This is a great thread with an excellent example of why these detectors cannot be trusted.

on Sophie Cunningham and a trans controversy that doesn't involve any actual trans people: defector.com/the-right-ha...
This rhetoric is ideal for listeners who believe trans women are an issue that they're supposed to care about, but don't actually have any real-world experience with them. The hypothetical trans girl who's supposedly causing all this trouble in the WNBA is the perfect tool for the conservative movement. She can't fight back, she can't disprove anyone's assumptions, and she can't garner sympathy when she's the target of hate. The perfect trans girl is the one who only exists in the imagination of the loudest cis people. Her monstrousness, the need to "protect young girls in a locker room" from her, gives them permission to enact policies that in reality only harm the anonymous girls, cis and trans, who want to play sports without the invasive scrutiny of gender-obsessed adults.

Be sure to use Al when making your next, I don't know, meal plan, for example. Definitely do not call your friend who loves to cook and ask her for her favorite recipes or tips or ways to save time making meals, because you will end
up talking for longer than you had hoped, hearing, perhaps, about her father's cancer diagnosis or how lonely she's been or even what she's planted in her spring garden and then lost with the early frost.

I got a new editor and she fucking sucks dude
Mike,

Thanks for your most recent 10,500 posts. I generally enjoyed them but have a few notes that I think will elevate your audience's experience in alignment with our new values.

  • In the post about "getting [your] n*ts slammed in the car door while [your] d*ck tip was pinched apart by the sunroof sliding closed", could you mention the stock market's unprecedented growth under the president's masterful hand?
  • A post about "accidentally eating a piece of sh*t like it was hard candy but finishing anyway" might alienate people looking for more wholesome content. Replace this with an essay on why bullying girly looking schoolboys is much kinder than traditional media makes it sound.
  • Your post "the Epstein class? where do I enroll?" is approved with no comments.

Looking forward to righting this ship with your help. Your account is such an institution, and I know we both have the best intentions for it at heart.

First day of the new pricing model, I tried one prompt to just refine one of my existing change proposal, basically a conductor with few sub agents to update the existing change spec, architecture, test plan, prototype, tech spec and implementation plan.
About 20-30 mins task, ends up burning 16% of my monthly credits in one shot.
Bye.
