While I did like the hair and fashion in The Bride! I found that I just wanted to watch the Jake Gyllanhall dancing bits

We really enjoyed listening to Bog People, A Working Class Anthology of Folk Horror, inventive variations and realistic characters, very good

I'm the woodland creature of making new friends. It takes around five years of me running off and making excuses but eventually I'm telling you about imagining my husband cycling so I can get to sleep

In honour of scary media month what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child? I loved it

Poor Women, a 1928 collection of short stories by Norah Hoult, is full of relatable, realistic women told in a compassionate, non-judgemental and gossipy way, really enjoyed it

Silent film Borderline, directed by Kenneth Macpherson and starring Paul Robeson, is an artsy film about racial issues and relationship dynamics, but also it's a bunch of people sleeping together and getting really angsty about it youtu.be/zJxCmvVlIyw?...

We really enjoyed listening to some of the stories in Something Followed Us Home, a collection of Latiné horror. There's cruise ship zombies, a possessed boyfriend, void babies and a dream medium

We've turned the guy who motorbikes up and down our road into a human cat man who gets off his bike and runs to us when we offer a cat treat. In our imagination, I should add, we haven't cast a spell on him or anything. I've named him Broomypops

Ahmed's family is still crying out for the basic support they need for his care. Treatment he needs is cheap by Western standards, only $140. So there's no reason he should lack for this. This boy's life is in danger & you see him every day. His family feels so helpless. Please boost & give.

Just wanted to let people know that things are difficult regarding my stepdad's health (not that i'm there every day, I don't want to give that impression) and I'm just reading/watching stuff that I really want to, so if you've asked me to read something I don't know when/if I will, i'm really sorry

Enjoyable 1923 Poirot story from Agatha Christie set in France, with the usual secrets, trickery and dramatic denoument

Terrible quality copper, so I'm taking it to social media

Text: Crime documentaries be like
Pic: Statue of him on left, another on the right in dramatic colourlessness
Text: EA Nasir was a copper merchant of the finest quality... until he wasn't

The title story of Ken Liu's short story collection The Paper Menagerie made me ugly cry while we listened so that's probably all you need to know. There's a lot of changing worlds, like looking back in time or magic creatures disappearing when the British built the railroad. Very cerebral

OH MY GOD. My husband is a ghost too! Though fortunately he doesn't experience number 4 (mine did that instead)
