The image is of a four panel comic. The title reads "Poltergeist".
In the first panel we see a woman with a worried expression on her face. She says, "stuff keeps moving around my house."
In the second panel the same woman says "I'm terrified. I can't sleep."
In the third panel we see a ghost holding a candle and a pillow that reads "live laugh love". The ghost is zooming through the house.
In the fourth panel we see the same ghost hanging up a frame and thinking, "home decor is my passion".

To carry 50,000 people per hour in each direction, a city needs a 175m wide road for cars. Even if those cars are electric. And then there’s all the parking. OR a city can move A LOT MORE people in a lot less space, with A LOT LESS public money, emissions, pollution, noise etc. Choices. Simple.
Graphic showing a 9 m wide track for metros can move as many people as a 175 m wide, 7 lane road for cars.

I think one reason data center outrage is so pronounced is people spent decades recycling and composting and otherwise scrimping to offset energy use and protect clean water, and the second we hit an inflection point for cheap electricity the banking industry said we’re taking all of it, fuck you

I think the main thing about independence is that unionists have to convince Scots to stay, rather than nats convincing Brits to leave Most unionists I know would identify mainly as Scottish, not British, and I think that's why it's easier for the scales to tip in the favour of freedom

For context, Independent Green Voice received 0.87% of the vote in Mid Scotland and Fife; 0.3% of which would have put the Greens ahead of the Conservatives. Unlike 2021 this should only be one miss as a result rather than possibly two, but democratically concerning.

🧵Lunchtime final predictions thread! I know the ranges look wide, but that's the nature of elections. Be very wary of anyone telling you *this* exact spread is how today will go. Even so, only an estimated *29* seats are truly up for grabs, albeit there are lots of combinations of what the 29 are.
An overview map of the final Ballot Box Scotland Projection for the 2026 Scottish Parliament Election. It shows the range of seats estimated for each party via bubbles: darker colours for their expected minimum, lighter colours for possible seats beyond that.

The SNP are estimated to have a range of between 48 and 70 MSPs, Reform 14 to 26, Labour 15 to 23, Green 8 to 16, Conservative 8 to 17, Lib Dem 7 to 13.

The map shows each of Scotland's 73 constituencies and 8 regions. Constituencies expected to be in contention are striped by the colours of possible winners, whilst those that aren't are a single colour. The seats in contention will be listed in the alt text for the individual regions in following posts.

Average Prime Minister steps on 3 rakes a day factoid is actually just statistical error. Average Prime Minister steps on 0 rakes per day. Rakes Keir, who lives in garden centre and steps on over 10,000 rakes each day, is an outlier and should not have been counted

I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own government’s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds. I support neither imperialism or dictatorship. Sahar Delijani said it best:
I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.
Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.
That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.
If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after.

DAVE COCKROACH: Good morning!

It’s Wednesday May, 76,000,002,018 AD

DAVE COCKROACH: Well, today is set to be the hottest day ever recorded in Britain, as the sun swallows the Earth

SELINA COCKROACH: What a scorcher!

DAVE COCKROACH: Here to tell us More is Matt who’s down in sunny Brighton. Hi Matt!

MATT COCKROACH [REPORTING FROM WHAT REMAINS OF BRIGHTON]: Morning Dave! Well, the sea is long since evaporated down here…

But that hasn’t stopped every cockroach coming out to enjoy the glorious blood-red sun hovering ten feet above the ground.

Great news for Ian Cockroach here, who sells ice creams

How’s business Ian?

IAN COCKROACH. LEANING OUT OF AN ICE CREAM VAN: I’m on fire
