The Nazis inarguably sacrificed expertise, manpower, scarce resources they could not resupply, lots of time, and significant logistical capacity - all in the middle of what they realized was an existential war - to kill Jews. They deliberately chose genocide over military victory.

A while ago I got pushback from some other urbanists on here for arguing that the Manhattan Institute’s main function is to mainstream racism. But the idea that their work on fairly technical urban policy matters is as politically significant as what Rufo is doing just doesn’t pass the smell test.
