Hey, I’m just asking questions. Ignorant questions, bigoted questions, questions that have been repeatedly answered for many years. Sorry, but I’m not listening to answers right now; I’m far too busy asking questions. It’s called being intellectually curious.

For Winnipegers who may not know this is happening, please give your energetic support to Rainbow Resource Centre. I fully intend to send emails urging the candidates to complete the questionnaire which I will share as images in this thread, with alt text to ensure that everyone is included.
Image of facebook post from Rainbow Resource Centre which reads:

On the morning of Thursday, October 1, Rainbow Resource Centre sent a questionnaire to the 12 mayoral candidates in the 2026 Winnipeg municiple election, including Mazher Alam, Johnny Calderon, Chris Clacio, Tracey Drexter, Scott Gillingham, Brad Gross, Umar Hayat, Kevin Klein, Joshua Pagdato, Noah Redden, Mike Vogiatzakis, and Don Woodstock.

Candidates were given until Tuesday, October 13, at 4:00 PM to respond for their answers to be considered for publication. The results of the questionnaire will be published on Rainbow's communications channels ahead of election day. Rainbow Resource Centre does not endorse any candidate. Our goal is to inform the community on Winnipeg mayoral candidates' positions on issues affecting 2SLGBTQ+ Winnipeggers.

We would like to thank our community partners for their input on creating these questions.

Flamboyantly showing my solidarity in this piece I have under review.
Conclusion
Earlier in this essay I mentioned that "I noticed an unpublished document" about Herman Scheerre. Partly this phrasing is to avoid provoking the rightful irritation of the archivists and librarians whose hard work is often sidelined by academics heroically proclaiming their "discoveries" of well catalogued items. But it is also to give an honest accounting of my own indebtedness to the same transatlantic solidaritv that allowed the

I'll never understand how "a lot of mostly/potentially/probably incorrect metadata is better for digital discovery than accurate but sparse metadata" became a popular idea than "we will put things online more slowly, but we will do it with accuracy"

Well. More importantly, life evolved to see in “visible light” because it’s the wavelengths of light that the Sun produces that life uses to see by, which I believe is the narrower constraint www.sciencedirect.com/topics/physi...
A graph of the Sun’s black body radiation at 5900K, which peaks at about 500 nm and has a long tail to longer wavelengths, such that it’s at half its peak height at about 300 and 800nm; but the short wavelength end is cut off by atmospheric absorption

That one closure pushed so much business onto two other michigan printers that one went bankrupt and the other was so indebted that they were both acquired and folded into Sheridan (huge printer). Then the paper shortages happened. Basically, trying to print books between 2019-2023 was a nightmare.
