As we all know, the natural state of the world is warlords and gangsters. But this idealic utopia has somehow been snatched away from our poor little fascists by jews/women/civilization/etc, and thus the most important thing is to support ALL gangsters and warlords who carry the torch of raw power.

New #blog! This is the story of two suburban Chicago kids who hacked a university computer & tried to hold it to ransom in 1980. Really early #hacker #history & a thread in the history of #ransomware, data extortion is almost as old as personal computing itself. realhackhistory.org/2026/10/16/t...

Happy weekend www.openmarketsinstitute.org/publications...
Speculative data center debt is being repackaged and sold to pension and retirement funds, university endowments, and other institutional investors in a manner eerily reminiscent of the subprime bubble. Private equity firms have purchased life insurers and loaded them with risky debt, exposing policyholders and the public to losses and raising the threat of financial contagion.

There are so, so many verified diaries of white Union soldiers at the beginning of the war saying "I don't know about this, I condemn the deplorable violence" and then they get down there and see slavery with their own eyes and immediately go "John Brown was right we gotta kill these motherfuckers"

it seems to shock the New Zealand government that Peter Jackson, Taika Waititi, and the Conchords etc all emerged from the same city in the same span, which coincidentally is when Wellington rent was dirt-cheap and there were heaps of empty industrial buildings around

i am often baffled that one of the most insular decades for the housewife, featuring "a reduction in the moral aspect of domesticity" and "expansion of orientation to personal service" (Stephanie Coontz), was the 1950s, which saw a explosion in labor-saving home technologies (microwave, vacuum, etc)

Nature should perhaps not share such misleading statistics. Like, the PhD employment contract in Germany is a 50% position most times. And many PhDs still finance themselves with stipends, many of the defining their research for them. The whole system needs overhaul.
