USB-C is the best technology in so long. I bring ONE type of adaptor on business trips now (to charge my computer, my phone, my tablet, my earbuds, my watch, my headphones). I'm sitting in a meeting right now using my Mac and am borrowing the cord from a ThinkPad user. Standards win.

Illiberal perversion of 'secularism' (i.e., not secularism but merely forced irreligion viciously attacking minorities). And cowardly federal politicians won't even speak out against it.

This is the part many Americans -- including the Bezosites at the Washington Post -- don't understand. Canadians don't see this just as a Trump thing. It's that America elected him twice, and the second time with an even bigger mandate. The problem we're addressing is America, not Trump.

I've seen three different people on Bluesky this week celebrating getting their Canadian citizenship, and another few who are in the process. It makes me so damn happy. Immigration and multiculturalism are what make Canada a great country, and anyone who tells you otherwise can fuck right off.

You know, honestly, more than monetary donations, if somebody worked at a company that had access to a lot of 18 terabyte and larger hard drives and could talk to us, that's where we are really suffering. The internet archive has no special priority in buying hard drives and those things are insane.

On Saturday night, one of our CT logs rejected most submissions for 30 minutes. Here's the post-mortem. It was... a lot of fun? It involves Go mutex starvation, SQLite WAL behavior, and ZFS record sizes. I got to SIGKILL a VM 200 times, implement a turnstile (TIL!), and order a Nokia flip phone!
