Dallas Brodie and OneBC out here doing anti-Indigenous racism, masks off, day-to-day lives and in their election platform. #bcpoli
from ONEBC platform:
Reconciliation

1

Repeal DRIPA and declare UNDRIP to have no force and effect in BC

2

Halt all voluntary transfers of cash, land, and control over public resources to band governments

3

Restore oversight and accountability for Indigenous Band spending

4

Demand constitutional reforms to repeal the Indian Act, transform reserves into townships, and unite all British Columbians under one law and political framework.

5

Restore the original names of public institutions and public places — Names must primarily be in English

6

End the practice of mandatory land acknowledgements within the government and government-funded institutions.

That quickly became the first Mary Brown's, a restaurant that has spread across Canada and remains 100% Canadian-owned to this day. Since the collective noun for a group of crows is a murder, would it be right to call this group of crows looking for grubs a murder investigation? At UBC, Vancouver, BC, Canada #Birds #Crows #Humor #NaturePhotography
Photo of about forty crows searching for grubs in a series of grassy areas bisected by a path, a driveway, a separated two lane boulevard, all of which cross the picture horizontally. At the right of the picture is a trimmed cedar hedge. In the background are more hedges, some low fences, and leafy trees. At the left of the picture are number of posts with signs for parking restrictions, indicating a bicycle path, and a pair of stop signs.

It’s sort of grimly fascinating how two rights – compensating all residential school survivors through a class action, and preventing nonconsensual disclosure of testimony – still add up to a wrong – potentially erasing irreplaceable documentation of what the TRC rightly called a genocide.
