I decided to re-do this old calculation + LLMs test, and now it seems the big models just create a piece of code to do the calculation instead of brute-forcing it. IE: LLMs work best when they're doing at little LLM as possible, and every advancement is just less LLM and more stuff-that-works

As part of the "Zionism is Racism" motion which the Green party will be voting on at conference, there is a specific section which says that members of the Green Party who are members of 'Zionist Synagogues' should be kicked out. Efforts to amend this language were rejected at a "party workshop".

The problem of social care is largely one of a missing insurance market. The obvious solution is to pay for care via general taxes, treating these as if they were insurance premia. Cutting benefits or the triple lock are bad alternatives.

For all that it's been barely reported in the UK press, it's still hard to understate the importance of the stance @labourunionsuk.bsky.social has taken on trans and non-binary rights this week. Every single trade union affiliated to the party of government has stood up and said we will not comply.
