This is a ‘good strategy’ in game theory terms if you assume Trump will punish you for not rolling over and showing deference and democrats won’t. Democrats should think about altering those incentives.

The LP-8 "Clanulsta" Long Range Patrol Craft. The last in a long line of failed small patrol and attack craft, the Clanulsta would see service with Starfleet, Memberworld defences forces and neutral star fleets from the late 2250s until the end of the 23rd century.

True, I mean it's not a great result for him personally, but the impact of standing a leader is probably overdone imo. Farage lost seven by-elections in a row and I don't remember that ever being a leadership crisis for him

as his brain melts he's lost most of his touch, but Trump does have a natural bullies intuitive understanding of how to use this type of dynamic. the winning move is to tell him to fuck off but that's not a battle a lot of people will want to pick with the president.

I'm against the death penalty in most cases for consequentialist reasons (you almost never are preventing future harm by killing someone already in jail for life), but even if I thought it was justified here, to livestream it is the policy choice of a toddler who masturbates while torturing pets.

you never have to believe a word these people say about how it's a Hard World and Hard Things Must Be Done. they get off on this shit. one thing to think Hassan being executed is justified, another entirely to do it one handed while jacking yourself off like this.

seeing a few people label this a false flag and while there could very well be a few agitators in there, this is overall clearly the real deal. if it was a false flag everyone would be carrying signs that say “we love hamas and killing jews.” these people aren’t subtles

Lookit. Deep down every Irish person wants to spin some yank a yarn that gets cited as fact in some factual text. We told an Irish American girl that when the Muppets was released in Ireland, Kermit the Frog was called Dermot the Frog because Cromwell’s son was a Kermit.

Andy Burnham seems to remember a different 1970s to the rest of us. Britain in 1979 was utterly broken - ravaged by unaccountable trade union power, economically stagnant, the sick man of Europe.
The 1980s saw a remarkable national recovery based on free enterprise, the rule of law and championing Western values. And it is this that our Prime Minister rails against...

Because it doesn't work out like that. It feels like it does to people who are too clever by half, but it's trying to solve a problem at the wrong scale. Big, ugly, inelegant policies that don't try to target down to the individual person work better because of the scale the state works at.
