1a. No one really believes fetuses are morally the same as adult humans. Millions of spontaneous abortions happen every year, often before women even know they're pregnant. Have you ever seen *anyone* mourning/praying for the lost _unknown_ fetuses?

Damn! Wild how there used to be so many paintings about dead or sick children. Wonder what happened to reverse that trend in the arts.

In my great-grandparents time they didn't even name the baby until it got past a year old. Don't get attached until you're reasonably sure they're gonna make it. People have no idea what infant mortality rates were like before vaccines.
