Patrick @onequietcorner.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Hi, folks. Writer, native Yinzer now in Pacific Time. Thinking of following me? I post on a wide array of topics. If your feed is all reposts from other sources, single topic content, lots of your OF/JFF grind, or just a constant flood of posts I will block, sorry. All the best, though! 001
Patrick @onequietcorner.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I went to college twice - once in the late 80s, and again in the 2010s to finish my BA (long story). The first had a dozen or so Greek organizations and one known specifically to be the least safe for women, so it was a known thing, an institution even then. 100

"Dead" doesn't need to be bleeped. Nor names of diseases. Is it the filters on social media platforms? Or is it sensitivity gone amok? 110

Suit and tie wasn't unusual for downtown, but if you were beyond that, you'd absolutely get asked if yinz were going to a wedding or funeral all dressed up. I had neighbors and family who would wear their "good sweatpants" to fine dining spots.... 010

Patrick @onequietcorner.bsky.social · 10/09/2026The stupidity, it BURNS. Hollywood is making a fucking HAWAII FIVE-O movie, so revisiting an existing premise isn't a foreign concept. The audience wants the original. A slight update for today's guests and audience, like the Sabrina episode? Sure. Otherwise, give us the original recipe Muppets! 110

Patrick @onequietcorner.bsky.social · 25/08/2026I'm not a very religious person - at least not in the recognized organized religion/Christianity way - but Dolly Parton was someone who I always thought had some sort of connection to the Universe or the Divine (whatever that may be) in some way. Patrick @onequietcorner.bsky.social · 06/07/2026There was a call for essays for a local book describing my hometown's various neighborhoods.
