Article is useful in that it shows that a) Trump is directly involved in these decisions, b) sees them in purely personalist terms - he wants to politicize research grants so he can destroy Harvard for daring to defy him

This is interesting. You get assigned to being born at a random place and time in history, to see what a typical person's life might have been like then. Unfortunately I was born in 1403 in the valley of Mexico and died at age 4 from dysentery.

Weirdly, I’m alive because of fundamental research done in universities in the 1950s to 90s in cancer research that helped change Hodgkin’s Disease survival rates from 30% after five years in the early 1950s to over 90% in recent years. No progress, huh?

When visiting Arlington National Cemetery this Memorial Day you won't find Purple Heart recipient Nicole Leanne Gee, U.S. Marine Corps
(1998-2021) on it;s website, She was delisted.

When visiting Arlington National Cemetery Memorial this weekend you can easily locate male
servicemembers graves and history on it's website but not cisgender female, transgender, or
minority veterans.

You won't find Purple Heart recipient Nicole Leanne Gee, U.S. Marine Corps (1998-2021) on it's
website despite being interred there and credited along with her team with saving 124,000 lives. She was delisted.

For U.S. medical researchers, shrinking labs and bare budgets are the new reality
The Trump administration has slashed the number of grants from the National Institutes of Health, with far fewer focused on women, cancer and mental health.
