I thought I knew what to expect from Tom Bombadil based on his reputation, but I never anticipated his intro would be virtually indistinguishable from Hulk Hogan's cameo in Gremlins 2.

The scene from Fellowship of the Ring chapter 6 where Frodo and Sam chance upon Tom Bombadil who hears their friends are being swallowed by a tree, seems to know everything about Old Man Willow, and immediately cuts a promo on the tree who spits Pippin and Merry.

Theater Manager: Mr. Hulk, we have Gremlins in the projection booth. Could you help us?

Hulk Hogan: Gremlins? In this theater? Now?
