The genetic change attributable to local adaptation (i.e., the net effect of breeder mortality and the recruitment of local-origin individuals) is represented by a grey dashed line, which differs from the total genetic change in the breeding population (solid black line) that additionally includes the contribution of immigrant recruitment.

Which also enable us (using @imprintedgene.bsky.social 's theory www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...) to estimate the average dominance coeficient (≈0.089 using McK and ≈0.13 using DFE alpha estimates), which is very rare for a non-model organism!
Estimates of the mean dominance coefficient (h) using ratios of estimates of the strength of positive selection between autosomes and X chromosomes (RA/X). Point estimates of h based on expectations of RA/X as a function of h (assuming PGE and sex-averaged fixation
probabilities, see Hitchcock et al. (2024)) suggest low average dominance coefficients. Estimates of RA/X on the autosomes and X chromosomes use either mean values of α from the McDonald-Kreitman test or dfe-alpha. Approximate RA/X using estimates of α_X from the McDonald-Kreitman test and dfe-alpha correspond to h ≈ 0.089 and ≈ 0.13 respectively.

One way we can reconstruct ancient trade networks is via the presence of foreign coinage. This map shows locations of recovered coins of /purported/ Roman lineage. In 2013, on the island of Okinawa, 4th-century AD Roman bronze coins were excavated from the ruins of Katsuren Castle.
A crude relief/ecology map of Eurasia and Northern Africa, showing the location of Roman coinage (purported, many of these were amateur finds never confirmed), and the concentrations are in Europe, the Nile and India, with some coins in China, Vietnam and Japan.
