Folks, FTR this is a breach of publication ethics. @ijpsjournal.bsky.social has a policy that forbids it and we are nowhere near the only ones.

Sept 2026 @ijpsjournal.bsky.social featured cover article Comparative Evolution of Photosynthetic Light Response Curves: Approaches and Pitfalls in Phylogenetic Modeling of a Function-Valued Trait R Davis, @plantevoecophys.bsky.social et al www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/full/10.... #PlantScience
On the Cover: The genus Helianthus, in the family Asteraceae, is composed of approximately 30–60 species of sunflower, many of which are charismatically known to track the sun’s progression throughout the day. All of the wild diploid species in the genus were grown in a common-garden greenhouse experiment (pictured here) to evaluate physiological diversity in photosynthesis and light response across this genus. In this issue (pp. 419–434), Davis et al. explore the diversity of photosynthetic strategies across Helianthus and the application of such datasets in a case study for phylogenetic comparative methods designed to capture complex, nonlinear traits.
