Who would have thought building thousands of new homes with no improvements or prioritisation to public transport & active travel would have such a negative impact on people’s lives?! Most of our politicians are completely useless and would rather play politics than improve peoples lives

Forth Replacement Crossing Evaluation - Community Survey
Required
Impacts on walking, wheeling and cycling
In this section, we would like to understand how the FRC project has affected walking, wheeling and cycling, including people's experiences, perceptions and travel behaviour. By wheeling, we mean the use of a wheelchair or mobility scooter.

Please compare current conditions with those before the Queensferry Crossing was completed, when walking, wheeling and cycling across the Forth took place on the Forth Road Bridge. In your responses, please consider any barriers to walking, wheeling and cycling that existed before the project was completed.Forth Replacement Crossing Evaluation - Community Survey
Aim of the survey
Welcome to the Forth Replacement Crossing (FRC) Community Survey. Transport Scotland have commissioned Jacobs to carry out an evaluation of the FRC. Further information about the FRC project is provided below. The responses from this survey will help us to identify and understand the impact on, and the perspective of, the local community. Feedback from the community was a key part of the preparation of the project, and this is an opportunity for the community to provide their views now the project has completed. The findings from this survey will be included in the evaluation report which will be published by Transport Scotland. The evaluation will help Transport Scotland learn lessons to inform future transport investment.

The survey should take up to 20 minutes to complete, depending on how many sections you wish to complete. It aims to gather feedback on if and how the FRC has impacted on the local community.

Completion of the survey is voluntary and you do not have to answer any questions you do not want to. The survey uses question routing which means you won’t be asked every question in the survey. There are some mandatory questions for routing purposes. You can withdraw from the survey up to the point that you submit your response. You cannot save your response and return to it at a later date. Please only complete this survey once.

This survey will close on Wednesday 30 September 2026.Forth Bridges logo

The lights on Redford Road near the Dreghorn Link give safe access to the Dreghorn houses but are difficult for bicycles due to steps. Could the steep step be smoothed out for bicycle access?

In the same area could the Dreghorn Link be provided with a secure cycle lane, there is plenty of room as one lane is hardly ever used.

The footbridge over the Dreghorn Link has been closed for a long time, could this be opened to allow safe access avoiding Redford Road from Bonaly and Colinton in general.

No arrests made during Dover protest, Kent Police says

13:34 5 September
Kent Police has issued a statement following the disruption in Dover earlier today.
It says officers "responded to a spontaneous protest" during Saturday morning, adding "no arrests were made".
"Traffic is flowing normally, and all involved had dispersed by midday," it addsThe Met Police said 35 people had been arrested in response to the disruption.
Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist said the action was "criminality", not protest, and pledged to bring those involved to justice as quickly as possible.
"This was a very significant and co-ordinated effort to cause massive disruption to the entirety of the M25," he added.
