there has been remarkably little interest from the Irish press in the takeover of Mount Melleray by a private American university owned by a billionaire with close ties to Opus Dei that recently experienced a major outbreak of measles and has a statue of Charlie Kirk being embraced by Jesus

Mid October, last year, hit 23 degrees in Ireland. This has been happening for a good few years now. This year though, people seem to be noticing. Which is great.

The state shouldn't be allowed to murder people. And now, what, they've poisoned a woman twice and are now obliged to try to keep her alive because they couldn't kill her? The whole thing is insane.

In the late 90s I went to a hypnotherapist to cure an anxiety issue i had. He sexually assaulted me in his office. And you know what I did when I left that office? I went to reception and paid for the appointment I just had. If I had ever reported it officially, my paying after would have saved him.

This is why, every year, the whole of Ireland is required to celebrate the Puck Fair. We can’t just say that hauling a goat into the air for days on end is something just for Kerry. We are a united country, which is why we have airborne goats everywhere.

There's a moment early on that's just footage of Elon Musk balding and in khakis walking down an office hallway in the late 90s and the entire audience burst out laughing. If Musk is made aware of audience reactions like this I think he might actually crash out.

I should add that in addition to being much funnier than anticipated--Musk is going to be intensely humiliated by this movie, it's going to attack the deepest wounds he tries so hard to conceal--it is also bone-chilling. I think he gutted USAID with DOGE to kill masses of people in the third world.

Today I saw the new 4 hour documentary Musk, directed by Alex Gibney. There were too many times to count that a sold out theater burst out laughing at Elon Musk, something he said or did, even sometimes just how he looked. I believe that is his worst nightmare come to life.

The funniest thing about this 49 year old man will always be that he spends his entire life trying to look younger, but doesn't look a day under 55. The least surprising thing, like most of these mid life crisis embarrassments, is that his girlfriend is two decades younger.

No, this is great though because supermarket vouchers already cannot be used for alcohol so stopping the one or two quid you may, every now and then, get off a bottle of wine is just wonderful. And, most importantly, it is definitely the right time to make people's shopping more expensive.

From the Daily Mail, this is honestly quite the turn in the weather reporting. First line "With the UK having just experienced its hottest summer on record, many Brits are desperate for a break from the relentless heat" I hope we see more of this stuff because it did hit 26 degrees yesterday
Why is it still so hot in the UK? Met Office says temperatures could hit 26C in September heatwave
