don't bother addressing a congregation unless you're in the baroque creature pulpit
Baroque pulpit ca. 1750, rebuilt 1856, Parish church in Dobroszów.

a fanciful scaled sculpture where the serpents open mouth serves as the pulpit

Gen Z don't know how to live in the moment. In my day, we'd go to warehouse parties. In freakin' Brooklyn. We had blogs. Open mics. Greenpoint. And yeah, we would get our hearts broken. By Adam. By Marnie. Even by Shosh .. (it is increasingly clear i am remembering HBO's Girls) Ah .. nevertheless,

Stop using anti-fish language
Instead of: this seems fishy
Try saying:
this seems like a situation in which we should consult the wisdom and grace of the European seabass, a species with which i would entrust my entire life and personal safety

Wile E. Coyote, despaired, takes a bucket of paint and a brush and paints a beautiful two-bedroom house on a mountainside. He paints a beautiful coyote wife in the window, and two adorable coyote kids running around in the yard. He tries to enter this new coyote life, but it is inaccessible to him

Emu night (1/2)
Comic page 1: a group of young emo people are hanging out in a venue with a banner that reads EMO NIGHT. Outside the venue, an emu is on the phone. He says, “yeah, could you pick me up? I think I misread the flyer.” Suddenly, behind the emu someone exclaims, “hey!”
