Adding to this: it’s not just that the Constitution allows for impeachment; it COMMANDS it upon the commission of treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors by federal office holders. The word “shall” is a command, not a plea.

Let me see if I understand this . . . 1. The U.S. is at war with Iran. 2. Russia is helping Iran in that war. 3. The U.S. is now giving Russia money that it can use to help Iran destroy U.S. bases and kill U.S. troops. Donald is smart & patriotic like that.

It's already illegal. Congress banned it near-unanimously in 2022. That law allows the ban to be lifted only if Russia withdraws from Ukraine. He's simply breaking the law that's already on the books.

Students made their first minicomics in my intro making course - mostly standard format but this student, a first time maker(!), did something so off the charts I’m still reeling from it! & he made like 12 of them for his classmates! A paper engineering feat of flipbookery as well as killer drawing!

Important: the USPS rule that SCOTUS blocked tonight was Trump’s big plan to control and restrict mail voting. But a separate policy remains in place: USPS is no longer postmarking mail as soon it gets it, which is hugely important for deadlines. So people must mail back with plenty of time.

In an Intense Election Year, New Post Office Rules Could Trip Up Voter Registration - Bolts
A change in how mail is postmarked could lead some voters to miss key deadlines, including voter registration. Advocates worry the people most affected will be those already facing voting barriers.

Youtube premium is trying out a custom feed feature that could be great if it didn’t use AI and affected your overall home suggestions. I’m not even saying “if it didn’t use AI” from atop a moral high horse. This is a ”this could be an advanced search with checkboxes and it’d work better” horse.

With a gen AI prompt, phrasing alone could twist things in strange ways. It could easily just be text forms for searching tags, descriptions, specific channels, etc. I don’t think AI makes it easier. It makes it messier, more prone to error, and more costly for them run. It’s ridiculous.

The federal government spends more money than it collects in taxes and other revenue. That difference is the federal deficit. Because America has developed this very large structural deficit, the cost of carrying its debt has become one of the government’s largest expenses.
U.S. Treasury has borrowed $155 billion every month of this fiscal year-and is now paying $24 billion a week in interest on its debts

amazing how the entire machine can pivot within 24 hours. no need to slowly upsell the argument; just issue new marching orders
Matt Walsh tweeted last year: "We've spent the last 25 years bringing "freedom" and "democracy" to countries around the globe while our own country has been systematically invaded and now our largest cities are run by foreigners and communists. If you want to know why I'm so avowedly non-interventionist, this is why."

Then he tweeted today: ""This is a war for oil!!!!!"

First of all, the "war" lasted like 90 minutes. Second, going to war to secure vital resources for your own people is totally legitimate. Why should we allow some third world communist shithole to control trillions of dollars worth of oil?"Laura Loomer tweeted last year: "I’m America First, I don’t support “Regime Change”. I went on @Bannons_WarRoom to talk about Chinese aggression in Venezuela and why we need to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign Islamic terrorist organization."

Then she tweeted yesterday: "Maduro has arrived at the DEA office in Manhattan. He was transported in an armored motorcade after being transported in a blindfold via helicopter & then by plane to New York after his compound in Caracas was raided by US Special Forces.

Proud to be an American today!

USA 🇺🇸"Catturd tweeted last year: "Name one U.S. inspired regime change that hasn’t ended in absolute disaster."

Then he tweeted yesterday: "Venezuela is now more free than New York City."Will Chamberlain tweeted last year: "The Republican Party is no longer the party of regime change and endless wars

If you want to be its standard-bearer that is a non-negotiable position"

Then he tweeted yesterday: "I can think of few better uses of my tax dollars than black-bagging the head of a foreign narco-trafficking organization that enriches itself by addicting and poisoning my fellow Americans"

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

AI is helpful when a task is tedious. For example, last week I said "I could write a script for that but meh, probably won't have it finished in time". A friend said "just ask ChatGPT to do it", and the suggestion disgusted me so I did it by hand in 20 minutes out of spite.
