Categories are fake, there will always be weird edge cases where the boundaries fail, this is just a fact. The question is not "is this category REAL or TRUE" the question is "is this category USEFUL" because categories are tools, not features of the universe.

7/ Every other accommodation provider in this country has to meet accomodation standards. Motels do. Hostels do. Backpackers do. Why do Airbnbs get a pass?

the main problem with video as a format is that it's too slow at dispensing information. I can read much faster than you can talk and there's no way you can address this without becoming incomprehensible to most of the audience.

On a wet mid winter day we can have over 50 waiting in the trees for their turn - and the feeder needs a lot of refilling. This time of year is much quieter!

It's very boring and slow to drag people towards your position and I too get frustrated by policies which seem obviously good being treated like they're crazy or pipe dreams. But withholding your vote from all leftish parties because they aren't leftish enough is bullheaded dipshittery

Whatever you do,
A large white waterfowl with orange feet stands in front of a door. On the door is a cardboard sign secured with tape that reads, "DO NOT LET THE DUCK IN."

Adding insult to injury, I think the duck might be a goose.

Increasingly I keep being told by normies that they would “love to go to the symphony someday” and it’s starting to drive me crazy because if you want to go, you can just go! It’s not a once-in-a-lifetime thing! It’s not expensive! You don’t have to know anything! Just buy a ticket and go!

My brother did not ask me to do this, nor did he know I was going to, but I made him a mashed potato volcano for his birthday. The number of potatoes this required was shocking but otherwise it was relatively simple to do. A side effect is a freezer full of leftover mashed potatoes.
A volcano made out of mashed potatoes with asparagus and broccoli trees mingled around Dino nuggets and a hot dog shaped like a person. Mashed potato volcano with gravy flowing down the side Containers full of mashed potatoes in a freezer Screenshot of texts: this is genuinely impressive and insane. Would love for you to talk to me about what’s going on with the hotdog. Reply reads: that’s hot dog man. He’s a disaster tourist.

there's a reason society has spent many centuries coming up with the law of agency and fiduciary duties If your agentic AI doesn't come with any legal responsibility to you as the principal, it's not your agent; it's your sleazy used car salesman with access to your credit card and all your data
