I think I've roughly identified the Shakespeare comedy vs tragedy split in historical c-dramas. Basically if they're about actual historical figures they end with the main characters dying and if they're about made up people they end with the main characters shown married with kids five years later.

Found this planet that I don't think had a single fauna that wasn't completely awesome looking. Most of them were variants on these guys but there was also one that was dinosaur-looking skeletons with huge tusks, and underwater were huge molluscs.

There's a thing in c-dramas that I assume has some kind of basis in Chinese culture where if someone is in a position to harm you you call them 'hero' (not sure original word but the translation's consistent) to encourage them not to. Anyway a Mongol leader was about to execute the former-emperor

watching c-drama and there's a bit where a small child is reciting something they've had to memorise and it suddenly reminded me of how crusader kings 3 introduced a system where your children burn out and have a mental breakdown if they study too hard but need to study hard to be successful
