ICE is now lying in wait outside convenience stores, or at busy intersections. Agents are arresting people at international airports. Local police and sheriffs, deputized by the federal government, are detaining immigrants during traffic stops. ICE is now detaining more immigrants than ever before.
A chart that shows a timeline of ICE immigration enforcement against different significant events (Los Angeles raids, Minneapolis and Chicago raids), with a line in late March 2026 that says "New enforcement strategy begins" before a peak of over 1,500 daily arrests in July 2026.

A map of the United States titled "287g Agreements (Updated 9/1/26)" created with Datawrapper. The map uses colored circular markers across various states to indicate the status and model of local law enforcement agreements under section 287(g).

A legend in the upper left corner details two main categories:
Status of Agreement (Color-Coded):
Brown: Applied, never active
Blue: Existing as of 2024
Red: New Under Trump 2.0
Yellow: Reinstated
Green: Terminated by LEA

Agreement Models (Numbered 1–5):
1: Warrant Service Officer (WSO)
2: Jail Enforcement Model (JEM)
3: JEM & WSO
4: Task Force Model (TFM)
5: TFM & other(s)

The map is heavily densely populated with red circles throughout the Southeastern, Midwestern, and Eastern regions of the United States, alongside scattered markers across the West, Texas, Alaska, and Hawaii.

In a normal administration counterintelligence agents at the FBI would be investigating this photo. In this administration, the FBI director is in the photo.
Michael Weiss: Why, that’s Ali Abdelaziz is on the far left. Manages a lot of Russian, Belarusian and Chechen MMA fighters including Khamzat Chimaev, who is close to Kadyrov. Abdelaziz was an FBI informant until the Bureau dropped him because they suspected he was a double agent. Looks like Ka$h (far right) has forgiven and forgotten. These MAGA weddings are Mos Eisley cantinas for counterintelligence.

Did Anthropic's Claude discover something new in biotech? Well, just like with those recent alleged math proofs, it looks like it was given the answers in advance from real humans doing actual research. (gift: www.nytimes.com/2026/09/27/s...)
Dr. Mestre and his colleagues have yet to publish their findings. But for the past three years, they have regularly used Anthropic’s A.I. models as they have written code, drafted manuscripts and performed other tasks.

In doing so, Dr. Mestre said he and colleagues shared key findings about the enzymes with Anthropic.Anthropic said that Claude’s key contribution was identifying an array of RNA molecules and a protein associated with reverse transcriptase in a system. But Dr. Mestre said that he and his colleagues had made that discovery over a year ago.

Some writers go ballistic at the mere mention of AI because they take the training of AI models on their work to be a form of intellectual property theft. Like settler colonists, the AI boys want to treat it as a fiat accompli; "here's a pittance—let's move forward." But what if IP theft is ongoing?

He was commended by Cambridge as a "highly respected scholar of race, inequality and education".

But around this time, plagiarism concerns first surfaced.
